This is a secondary surfactant used along with primary surfactants like SLS, AOS, SLES, LABSA etc as a foam booster. It also acts as a conditioner in hair care products. It is sold in liquid form having active matter 28-30%. Amine oxides are very good foam boosters in combinations with primary surfactants. Certain formulations using sodium hypo chlorite use this amine oxide for stabilizing hypo in alkaline PH.
